    Girls HS Softball

Did some softball today, my timing seems to be getting with it now that the season is getting down to a close, let me know what you think.

Color is good, top and third one could have had a bit faster shutter speed so the ball is a bit less distorted but it's nothing serious, I do it all the time too. I like motion, just not too much.
Nice expression on #3, although a ball in the shot would really make it.

Hey JS here's the photo with the ball. As you can see there wasn't much of a face on the runner sliding into 3rd, thats why I used the other shot, here face was just to good to pass up.

YUp, but that also explains the odd shadow in the other photo. Hmmm, if she'd have thrown the ball it might have been close!

    Re: Girls HS Softball

I like your shots but do have a few comments.
#1 - Nice timing, that's what I love about girls fastpitch. Everytime my niece, who is on a traveling softball team, hits she does the running slap hit. I've never seen her just stand there and take a swing. I do think this first shot could use some levels to brighten it up a bit.
#2 - I like the action of this shot but like the added post of the same shot much better.
#3 - I don't like the crop of this one. Close are nice but I don't like the way she's off to the side and the bat is out of the picture.
#4 - I think a tighter crop of the pitcher would be much nicer. For me there's too much empty space.

bob...like I've said before, watch your horizons. Slanted horizons makes the photo look very sloppy.
