Girls fastpitch softabll - 12U

Went out over the weekend to get some pictures of my niece during her opening game of softball. I recently bought the AquaTech cover for my camera / lens and was happy I had, as it rained for most of the game.

Camera was set to aperture priority at f/2.8 with an ISO of 500. The shutter was around 1/2000.

Nice shots Homer! That bare handed deflection looks a little painful to me, I'm assuming this is fast pitch? Good action captures though and tough lighting conditions. I wish it was warm enough here for softball/baseball, we're still in BB tournaments for a few weeks.

Great shots...Love them....we just finished all the school basketball tournaments, and cheerleading tournaments, so I am guessing they will have Softball and Baseball tryouts SOON....not sure when the games start though....but it will be nice to shoot something different for a change.....LOL...

I hope I can do a fraction as well as these....Love them...even though it was a mirky day...

The shot of the catcher is of my niece and she did jam her finger during that pitch.

Do you have a web stie set up so the players parents can purchase your photo's. There is a parent at our school that is doing that, and something I would like to look into.

I love the way you have your (Watermark?) is that the right terminology? I haven't figured that out yet either.....So much to learn, so little time.....LOL

I upload and use eventpictures.com to show and sell my shots. They handle everything, all I do is take the shot and upload, they handle the rest. I've been with them for about 3-4 years now and haven't had any problems with product quality. You can go to jimcayer.eventpictures.com to view my events and how I set them up.

As for the watermark, I had a person I know from another forum (Mpix.com) that I'm a member of. I had the logo made for business cards and such and then made it into a brush in photoshop,

Another question....where were you positioned, in getting these shots....Looks like you are right there with them?
I am trying to figure out if I am standing where I should be....for batting pics, all but one of them are right handed, so I go to the end of the opposing teams dugout...where the fence is chest high.....
