Great shots, especially consider the dungeon-like conditions!

    Old Timer,

Being born in 1948 makes you a young whippersnapper in my book but certainly old enough to have visited plenty of those challenging school gymnasiums with lighting systems from hell. Some of those old gyms are notorious for producing color variations from frame to frame and across individual frames, but I don't see that in your images.

It looks like you have risen to the occasion and managed to capture some neat shots. I especially like #1 although the ball looks like it could have used some editing treatment to make it look properly orange.

I'm a noobie here, and in forums on other websites I am used to seeing more shooting information posted with photos. I'm curious what gear you used along with exposure data.

Thanks for the look and the comment Bob. I do very little editing on these sports pics due to the pure volume of images, just don't have time to give each image that extra attention it should have, Without checking the info on these I think they were shot at around ISO 3200 or 4000 at 1/500 and f2.8. I was shooting with a Nikon D7000 on this set usually shot B Ball with a 28-70 mm f2.8 Nikkor but Nikon has it at the moment and is waiting on parts. These were shot with a 50mm or with 80-200mm. You can chec out a few more of my sports images at this site. LarryGooding's Photos | SmugMug

    Larry,

    Thanks for the response.

Above your avatar it says Ex-Modster. I'm curious. What's a modster? I've heard of mobsters and monsters but never modsters.

I have been a moderator on the PR gallery in the past but gave that up about a year ago. Now I'm an EX.
