    I'm recovering

I pushed my hand to the limit this weekend.
I picked up a DSLR for the first time since the accident.
Today I hurt, from the fingertips to the wrist.
But it's from strenuous exercise, not the surgery.

I ended up using a stick-on heat pad to combat the rain and wind, because there's only one artery feeding the hand, not two. I'm sensitive to the cold (not a good thing at Silverstone) and the little but constant heat did the trick.

    Thanks Mark!

Great that you were able to get back to the DSLR even though you had to pay the price. It's been a long dry spell for you. Looking forward to your full recovery.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Good to see you're getting back on the horse, Paul! How does your hand feel, a couple of weeks after the fact? I expect the exercise will be good for it, even if it does hurt. Won't that help it develop new blood vessels?

    Re: I'm recovering

I'm hoping the exercise will help, a 1D and L lens is about 4-5lb (depending on the lens) and the physio had me working with 1/2 & 1kg.
All the walking carrying a couple of bodies, lenses, and stuff is getting my a little fitter.
Coughing up lung each outing as I walked around Spa.

Oh no PAul. Did you get a work related injury?

    Re: I'm recovering

Roll-over car accident nearly two years ago.
Severed tendons repaired and the back of my hand replaced with a bit of thigh.
Just had hte medico-legla exam last week, so now the lawyers will start work.
