    flaming exhausts

    I love these kind of shots, but they're so elusive.
    At 5fps it may only show in one frame out of ten.
    By the time you've seen it, it's too late to push the button.

    It's all down to watching the cars, learning where they change down, and which cars are set up to dump fuel on the overrun and will give a good show. Then shoot where you think it's going to happen.

    Those are really nice shots. I agree, these make really interesting shots. They are so difficult (for some of us, anyway) to catch, but really add a new deminsion when everything works right. Good job on getting the timing down.

    I, on the other hand, have to rely on plain old dumb luck.

    gotta love flammes and races cars... as long as it's from the exahaust though.
    This one also works though......
    My favorite fire puc Robby Gordon when driving the Cingular (who? ) car - note the hood and the flames

    You guys should come & shoot V8 Supercars....they flame out at just about every corner:





    BUT, nothing beats this for a flameout:
