    first weeekend out since PMA

Discovered just how unfit I am after the pneumonia, a month and a half and I still can't push Angie's chair up the paddock entry at Hockenheim without a 5 minute rest afterwards - wheezing like the little engine that could.

Here's a selection from the weekend.

Bleah, pinched the front tyre of the lead bike.
    Otherwise a so-so bunch.
Getting used to the 300mm f/2.8 and the monopod.
Can't hand hold that sucker ! With the 2x it's not bad, makes me want the 500 or 600mm though.

Is the guy in the passenger seat in that top photo with the Audi Bunnies talking on a cellphone? and what type of cars are those in the second shot down the 2 audi's and the benz?

You have some great very sharp shots, glad to see that you are back in the game.

Re: first weeekend out since PMA

Not sure it it was the radio to race control, or a cellphone.
    My attention was elsewhere

The cars are Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) German Touring Car series race cars custom built by Mercedes and Audi for the DTM race series.
They have key styling features (like the Audi deep radiator) for that year's model of road car, but other than that they are basically 500hp single-seaters with a carbon fibre body over the roll cage.
10 Audi and 9 Mercedes in the series this year, a mixture of 2006, 2007, and 2008 build cars, each slightly improved over the previous model. So the more successful drivers have the more recent cars. Newcomers get the older cars.

First car is Alexandre Premat, a 2007 car
Next is Markus Winkelhock, another 2007 car
Finally is Paul di Resta, a 2008 car

I have plenty more, just loading into Lightroom now.

Sharp? I think these are a little soft.
I need to get the Lightroom sharpening and export working better, because they don't look as sharp as if I export them from Thumbs+
