First day of little league

First day of 5 pitch today. Baseball season has officially started. What a perfect day to start the season as well. Sunny and breezy and 30 C (88F) which is AWESOME for Canada in April. Here's a few of the kids having the most fun they've had outdoors in months.

#1 Coach preparing the first batter for battle
#2 It's a hit (my boy.... makes me proud =) )
#3 Made it on base... whew
#4 Homerun for the other team
#5 Homerun for our team.

Final score 17 for the Quilt Patches(the other team) - 15 for the Mini Cooperz(our team) - Fun factor at an all time high after a long drawn out winter season... and a beautiful spring day.

That third pictures says all anyone need to know about Little League. Any one that tries to make more of it than what that face says is way off base. It was Little League day here too. This was the first time in nearly 30 years that I didn't watch all the parade and see at least two of three game. I'm getting way to old, all the kids nephews and nieces are too old for LL. The grandsons are a couple of years away.

I have to agree, with the picture and the comment. If only it can be said for all sports at that age.
