I like it. Looks like it might be a bit on the dark side. I'd brighten it up until you just start to blow out the finest highlights. Watch the histogram in Photoshop (or whatever editing program you use) to check the highlights. In this kind of lighting, you should definitely have some pure white.

I really like the color of the water in this. I also like that the surfer is a regular guy and not a ripper pro. Normally I might not like that. But in this case it feels more intimate. Like I'm watching some regular guy getting in a little downtime recreation. I like his skin color against the water and I even like his belly

    Thanks for sharing!

    Interesting John...
Looked at the histogram and it's already clipped BUT just going by eye, I pushed it to the point where it started to *look* clipped and then backed off some, as well as giving the shadows a massive boost, and I think you're right, it looks better to me.

Also attaching another, because the water color has just been absolutely spectacular and this shot really shows it off...

    Thanks for the feedback

it looks to me like you're oversharpening, and starting to get some halos in your photos. What are you using for settings?

Yeah, think I may have accidentally double sharpened the last one after resize. I see the halo now. Settings aren't very aggressive on these - USM strength 40 radius 2 clipping 6
