Even though it's a 2 game exhibition series, the Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) Bulldogs began defense of their 5th D1 National Championship against the Minnesota Whitecaps, a post-college team, that can't really be considered 'pro' since they have to pay their own way still. 3 players on the Whitecaps are Bulldog players from the past so it was fun to watch though the outcome doesn't go in any record books. Didn't really go for action shots, mostly just shot through the glass to get individual shots for the season.

Russian Olympian Iya Gavrilova who spent only half a season on the UMD roster, playing for the Whitecaps

American Olympian Jenny Potter, former Bulldog and hell of a hockey player, turns 32 in January, has 2 kids now, and still flies up and down the ice like noone else (plastic face shield, plus through the glass kind of stink)

Game went to a shootout after overtime, and somehow this puck didn't end up in the net, according to the referee's video replay review afterwards, goaltender Kim Martin from Sweden, amazingly she's had like 6 knee surgeries in her career spanning 10 years and 3 Olympics, but still manages to play huge in big games.
