    Final Indoor Track Meet

A few shots of the teams final indoor meet. It will be nice to get outside and get some decent lighting.

First shot is at ISO 800 f/2.8 1/60
Long Jump is at ISO 1600 f/2.8 and 1/500 sec
Third Shot is at ISO 1600 f/2.8 and 1/320 sec
Final shot of the High Jumper is at ISO 1600 F/2.8 and 1/250 sec

All but the 3rd shot were aperture priority.

The High jumper was the highlight of the meet jumping 6 foot 1/4 inch.
She almost made 6 foot 1

The announced at the meet that is was the best jump in country for HS this year and in the top 10 at the college level.

Nice work. Indoor presents some unique problems but you seem to have overcome them very nicely. Now on to the outdoor season. I can't wait to get out to the first track meet of the season. I always enjoy the challenge of track photography.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Final Indoor Track Meet

I thought I wanted the outdoor season to start...until we had the first meet. It was a horrible day for a meet. It started out around 40 degrees cloudy, and very windy. By the time the 4x100 was run, it in the low 30's with 20-30 mph winds and light snow falling. To the girls credit they all ran well and no pulled muscles. It was very cloudy and dark so I was shootiing mostly at ISO 1600. Hoping for better weather on Saturday
