Nice shots. I have done a little MMA but used remote strobes. The lighting at many of these venues can be challenging to say the least. Also tough to get a good angle a lot of the time since they twist and turn constantly. Good job!

Lighting- I don't use a flash, ever, for fight photography. It's distracting, plus, it just doesn't look as good.

Thanks. I've shot close to 20 events now, and I'm still learning each and every time I go out there to shoot. Needless to say, there's a large quality disparity from what I was shooting a year and a half ago until now, and the camera I was using had was only a small part of the equation.

Good stuff. Good to see you posting on the forum and I can see your photos are improving. I like that you use the ambient light, too. The slightly off-color white balance actually works well for your subject, I think. It adds to the gritty feel of your photos. Keep them coming!
