    A few MTB photos

I realize its been a while since I posted any sports photos on here.

Reason being I've been working 2 jobs, one of them photographing youth sports, mostly baseball lately. I'm hopefully going to find out in the next day or so if I can post any online for critiques & stuff. So I've been doing that job during evenings, while either going to school or working my other job So once I find out if I can, I'll have some baseball photos up from the past month or so.

But in the meantime, here are some photos I took while out on a ride with a bunch of guys from MTBR (Photographyreview's sister site) up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. All photos taken with my Nikon D2h Tokina 12-24 F4, & some with flash

Two miles into the ride, and we already got one crash, as shown by the bloody knee

We start our rides in the evening around 6, so once we get into the woods it gets pretty dark out there. In the shade I was shooting around ISO 800-1600.

Sometimes I get crazy, and while on slow parts of the trail, I'll shoot while riding one handed

Nice! 800-1600? Were you in Demo or UC? I'm going to try to hit up the bike park tomorrow after work.

I've heard of the gap rides, but I am not sure where the gap is. Yeah, I ride a Blur LT. Oh yeah, gutsy holding the camera while riding, but I like the type of shot it produces.

We meet at the corner of Hwy 9 & Skyline Blvd at 5:30, usually moving by 6pm..

I only hand hold the camera while on climbs, or flat easy terrain.

Then again, I'm not too worried about the D2h if I do crash, its built like a tank

    Re: A few MTB photos

Ah that lever. I was trying to think of what it was until I looked at the picture :0 )

I ride an 04 Enduro, and thats the remote lockout for my Float RL. It is beautiful being able to switch from locked out to squishy without reaching down and trying to find the switch.

I'd love to get a gravity dropper, especially with the way I ride but I'm not sure where to put the lever for it.
