Here are a few pictures from Drift Day NorCal on Saturday, April 23, 2005. It was my first time photographing car racing/drifting. Any comments/critiques would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That's cool. I've seen some drifting video footage but I've never seen it in person. Seems like it would be kinda tough to really capture the feel. I like what you tried with the third one. That's a sequence of one car, right? I think you need a faster capture rate to make it work, though.

Where was this event? Looks like a parking lot? East Bay?

Have you seen the thread on ViewFinder about the SF Gathering this weekend?

Yea I had a couple of images similar to the third one. Is this any better?



The event was hosted by Drift Day and was at Golden Gate Fields in Albany, CA. It was actually in the parking lot in the back. I hope to make it out to SF tomorrow morning. See you there!
