    I know that jump

I think these look pretty good. The second one looks like your pan could have been smoother. The first one gives the best Downieville feel for me and has the best composition. The second two could have been shot a fair bit tighter.

For what it's worth, I shot all the photos in the Decline mag Downieville article with an XTi. Don't ever feel like that camera can't do the job. This year I shot Sea Otter, Deer Valley, Interbike, and Downieville with it. The XTi/400D is a really, really good camera - even for sports.

Nice. Man between you and John, I'm getting stoked on the Fall season. I don't generally, but I can't wait for the snow this year. Those shots look great, but maybe like the focus is just a bit off? I also really like the first in the series.

For the last shot, I would have framed the guy more to the right and shown more landing/where he's headed rather than where he came from.

Looks like you had a good time!

Since you like the first in the series (me too) here some from that era (we did 2 runs, ran late, finished 1st divide in the dark, daylight seemed an era ago

The last pic, is by far my favorite on the day. Lately, I find myself trying to move away from the 'action' shot are try to paint more of a picture, more of a scene.
