Downhill Shots From New Years Day

Went out with Daniel and Leland on New Years. Grabbed a few images. I tried to switch it up for you John a 16mm is not wide enough on that trail need the 12-24mm I think

Ian - great stuff! These do feel different! I especially like the second and third ones. The second one feels really exposed and steep - great job! And I like how the last one gives a sense of the rocks and technicality of the trail. That makes me wonder if maybe one of the issues I've been having with some of your other photos is they're more about the rider than the trail. I think you have to find a balance there. All bike and rider and no trail is boring - at least to me. In fact, I think I prefer more of an emphasis on the terrain. Something to think about...

Yeah John I think I like using the wide lens in that last shot there a little more. Shows the steepness better. I have images from Saturday but will wait to post.
