Thanks all for the comments. It was tough in the bright mid-day sun. Any comments on better ways to handle the sun in camera or post? My CPL doesn't fit inside my hood (one CPL plus adapters for all lenses) and I thought that the hood was more important. - Terry

I noticed you used aperture priority and imagined my self struggling with Exposure compensation to avoid blown highlights or too dark images

Since it seems all the dogs are in bright sun light , I would have exposed for the bright whites, just before they burned and stayed at that exposure the whole time
Perhaps F8 and whatever speed resulted, if to low, maybe increase the ISO a bit, so the dogs are sharp while moving quickly.

But I might be wrong, one thing is to see the photo and give an opinion after the fact, a complete different thing to have dogs splashing water your way

and, I think taking the hood was a better idea than the polarizer
