    Disc Dog!

I just started getting into this sport, this is from my first time shooting it at an official event, I was using my D70s and a 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 on a super dark and rainy day. Not 100% happy with these, but I have since upgraded to a D300s and a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 so I am anxiously awaiting the start of next season!!

Oh yeah these also have my old watermark too.

Not just the light, with black & white dogs you have a huge dynamic range to capture too.

Yeah there is that problem as well.

My main issue with these is the noise, these were only shot at ISO 800 and some were at 1200 and they just look bad. Anything over 640 on the D70 was just not handled well. I have shot some HS football stuff with my new camera and it just handles the low light so much better.

    Re: Disc Dog!

Do you find the D300s handles a wide dynamic range better as well as less noise at high ISO?

I bought into the Canon system years ago, and am waiting for them to bring out a 1D that matches or exceeds the Nikon performance.

Love that #2 shot - great action.

I think I'd rather have the "dark and rainy" - both of which will help keep the details in the whites.

Looks like a super fun event to watch and shoot. Been trying to make my aussies into disc dogs but ... still working on it.
