    A Day of Miscues

Well miscues sounds better than errors. It was one of those days for the team in blue as they ended up on the bad side of a 12-2 mercy rule game. In the 1st photo it looks like a clean out at first but as you can see in the 2nd the first baseman lets the ball go off the end of the glove and the runner is safe and a run scores. In photo 3 the center fielder has the fly ball dead in his sites for the third out of the inning but nope he just muffs it in photo four and two runs score. In the last photo even though two infielders have designs on the ball it get through into center field and another run scored.

lol, I have seen a lot of that season, tonight was no different.... how about a 19-0 drubbing of a neighboring county team! One kid, with a 14 - 0 lead in tonights game hit a grand slam to make it 18-0, his first homer! Thats 19 tuns in 5 innings....the rule here is a 10 run rule after 5 innings. One of our schools started the season with their girls scoring 80 runs in 5 games, three of our four schools have winning records, the 5th is normally getting drubbed.

You got some nice catches (pardon the pun) here OT!

Thanks for the comments BF and JS. I have really been disappointed in the two games I've covered this spring at the caliper of baseball being played. Can only hope that it will improve before tournament time.

The outfield pic is crazy! I'm thinking these are pics you don't want to show the coach. ;)

    Nice action as always OT.

When baseball gets like this I always say it can't get any worse. Usually uphill is the only way they can go.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

It was just an ugly afternoon JETA. You can only hope that they can get it together as the season goes on. I had more but I thought it was just too painful to go on.
