    Those are nice, was that a 14/24 lens on the first one?
    I tried shooting a couple of crits in San Jose earlier this year lot of fun but not so easy.
    Looks like you made better use of the light

    Nice, Chris! I like the lean angle in that first one. I wish the agave was a little more prominent. I know you can't go back and do this one again but just imagine if there was a flash on the agave, making it pop out all spiky next to the rider. That would add some drama, huh?

    that stinking plant almost cost me an eye... It wasn't gnna get any more from me.

    Crits take time and practice. I shoot at least a dozen a year and lots of road and cyclocross racing. the top is shot with my go to wide, a 16-85 VR Nikkor.
    It's not about the camera....

    Ha ha - I've had a festering yucca wound before. Those pointy cactusy things are not nice
