    A couple soccer shots

As a last minute favor, I drove my bro in law to his game, and of course I just had to bring the camera. I did learn a few things from this game. They played a team an age group older than them, the proceeded to spank them 4-0.

First, make sure you have your batteries charged at all times. I got about 1/2 way through the game, and my battery decided it was going to run out of steam. No problem, I pulled out my second battery. Oh, crap its dead also. So I pulled the 3rd battery out, which had just enough charge to finish the game without any chimping

    All shot with my Nikon D2h & 70-200 F2.8 VR w/1.4 TC

you should think about a fill flash, some of the shadows are a bit much, esp the face in #4

Really great saturation on your colors. It just seems to bring the images to life. Nice shooting.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: A couple soccer shots

    Thanks!

I've been in the process of moving my photo catalog from ACDSee to Lightroom, so I'm having the chance to look back at what I've shot over the past couple years, and I've cringed (and deleted) a bunch of sports & other stuff that I've taken. Some were bad due to using the wrong gear for the wrong thing, others just because I can see how much better I've gotten & how much more I've learned in the past few years shooting & getting critiqued on the boards.

Congrats on potw. You deserve it!

I think you are wearing the batteries out on that beautiful son of yours.
