    a couple cyclocross images

Just shot my friend's race (in the very cold weather), figured I would share a couple from it for the biking crowd.

I can only see the first one, but I would say it is "picture perfect". A great standard.

Nice work Brent! I like the shallow depth of field and the crisp focus.

It's a nice enough photo, Brent. But for a great cyclocross photo, it's missing the most important element - mud - and lots of it!

I like it because it "pops". The color is good and vivid in natural light and the background is not a factor. I think a lot of sports photos tend to be either a bit underexposed or look washed out. I tend to like shots with a bit of color saturation and this is nice. Nice job Brent!

hmm, missed all these comments! here's the second one i posted, i must have deleted it on flickr and changed something...

thanks for all the comments, im pretty disappointed i have to let go of this lens...but ill get another one when i get back from abroad.

thanks for the comment dhyravy, I'm wondering what browser you are using. I have recently converted to firefox because safari is working so slow for me now, but for some reason the color engine it has seems to be not as good, and does not display colors in their true saturation, even in the sRGB color space.

PJ - I hear you there! wish it were muddier, but it was so cold most of the ground was frozen up. there was 1 patch of mud, but it was in the woods, far away from any of the barriers, so I didn't feel like making the hike. It was cold, I was lazy. :-D
