    Cccx #3 (mtb)

It was a good 2 week break in between races. It gave me a chance to get over my poison oak that I had on my legs & arm. I hate that stuff!!

I did though have a great time at this race. I tried a few new things, and was quite pleased with how they came out. I tried a few different shot angles, added a polarizer for a few shots, and just did some experimenting for a little bit. This is also my first time doing 90% of my PP in Lightroom, which I must say I am learning to love!

Images were mostly with my D2h & 70-200 F2.8 VR, Tokina 12-24 F4, or the 70-200 w/ 1.4 TC (The closeups are with the TC combo)

Here are a few from the race, comments & critiques welcome!

The shots look real good. Nice color and very sharp. With the first two shots, was there any other positioning availble to avoid the orange fence.

    Thanks!

I was actually trying to get the fence in the photo on those two. I was trying to get more of a "race" feel to these. After shooting/posting/looking, I think to work they need more spectators behind the fence.

Otherwise, to get past it I could have just moved down about 20-30 feet and zoomed in as the racers were coming around the corner.
