    The Catch

Captured this one at a last week during my nephews senior night game. The receiver for his team broke the state receiving record. It was nice to shoot on a field with a little more light. The field in my home county is one of the darkest I've ever shot at.

Great part of this for me is there was enough light at this field to record good detail in the receivers face. Nice job Brain.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks for the comments. Larry, it really was nice to have light for a change. Too bad we can't have that on our home field.

Nice work - especially given the dark setting. Anytime you can get eyes in a football shot, it makes it much more interesting to me.

    Re: The Catch

Mule, Thanks for the comments. I'm used to shooting on fields darker than this one. Lighting for sports and off camera lighting are a couple of the things I've really been trying to concentrate on so I was pleased with the light in this one. Now if I can just get the lighting down for basketball in our dungeon of a gym I'll be set, but the pocket wizards are in so that should give me some options.

I hope you'll see it in your heart to share a little on that gym light setup. After all you an JS only have to have one shot a night to earn your pay check.

Hey OT, you can have all our football field lighting now...my teams are done for the year, heck, I'm shooting basketball already but ny gyms are too dark for the most part to give up any light.

    Excellent!

Our football ended last Saturday. I'm so bummed I wasn't able to shoot the last three games.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
