    Canon 7D

    Hey gang,

I just picked up a Canon 7D to use a backup. I'm going to try it tonight with a Canon 300 2.8L and Canon 70-200 2.8L lens, with and without flash, to shoot football under the lights. Looking for suggestions on custom functions, adjustments, etc., that have enabled you to get some snaps that are suitable for newspaper use.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Chris I use the 7D in studio and did notice that the images are sharper using slightly higher shutters. So say you typically shoot at 500 try 640 instead.....

Also here is a link I found helpful when setting CF on the camera.

My son uses a 7D as a backup and he said the same thing. Unfortunately, I'll be in a poorly lit high school stadium tonight and getting a shutter speed of 1/640 will only be a dream. Should still be fun messing around with it.
