    Re: British Superbikes

    bugdod,

I think I would prefer to see these in colour because the bikes and leathers are often very colourful.

The only comment I have is that last one I would have liked to see a bit more space at the front and less at the back of the bikes.

    Nice shots

Much better in colour. I would consider uping the saturation just a little in these.

Thankyou again I will have a go at the saturation .
I did think the colours were a tad flat.

    Re: British Superbikes

I always enjoy the exhaust flame shots

Interesting range of shutter speeds, 1/400 looks nice blur, 1/160 and 1/125 I can't see the spokes but has a nice sense of speed, and the last one at 1/500 looks like he was going faster - as again I can't see the wheel spokes.

I'm not a bike expert, what is the norm for photos like these?

I'm still trying various settings to get the "right" look, and not being used to cornering speeds (way different from 4 wheels) I'm not sure I've got it yet in mine.

Trends in car photos vary, but almost every on track shot I've seen in print has a blurred background and some extent of tyre blur.
I tend to try to shoot bikes the same, but unlike cars I tend to get a lot of shots where the wheel is so blurred that you can't see the spokes and the bike is held in the air by very high grade magic
    Does that matter?

    Re: British Superbikes

    It was my first time.
The light was changing through the day I was shooting the majority in shutter priority.
If the light was constant the panning shots should be about 1/125 but for sharp detail
i went to 1/500 and still tried to pan.
I had about a 80 percent success rate but i still have to practice the panning technique.
    Thanks for looking
