    Black Diamond Freeride Park

I joined Jimmy yesterday to photograph the park and help our friend promote it. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Ray. This is a good way to see the difference in photographers shooting the same event and difference in shooting styles. Ray and I had some conversation on this during the shoot.I do like his off camera flash setup. I was shooting with on camera flash. In the first shot that is Ray bottom right of shot. Ray have you done a slide show?

I like all the pictures .

Now if you want to show off the riders I like the first pictures Better however if you are wanting to help highlight the Freeride park as the title suggests I like the 2nd set better.

I really like the shots were they are directly above you.

now that last 4-shot merge would be great with the guys in orange - with the dark shirt and dark bike it doesn't have the same punch.

Ray, would you mind explaining what you did for an off camera flash setup? If it's not a big secret that is. Thanks. GREAT work!!!

I'm digging the last two of the original poster's shots.

Can you number them, maybe? It'd make it easier to comment on them.

    Good stuff!

No real secret. I just put the flash on a light stand and use Radio Poppers to trigger it. I set the camera on manual and set my exposure for how I want the background to look. I set the flash on manual, usually 1/2 to 1/4 power depending on the light to expose the subject.
