All that said, my setup is in dire need of something. You may remember I shoot with a canon rebel XT, 80-200 lens (4.5-5.3) and no external flash.

From what I have seen in the 10000 shots (I rolled over last week!) I think the first upgrade I need is an external flash. I cannot afford a lens, but Sunpak makes a TTL flash unit I can get for about $125.

I really wanna improve my shots and I think a faster shutter speed (I an synched at 200 with the pop up) is the key, and an external flash is the ticket to that.
