    Best Magazine for Action Photography...

I'm in the magazine business myself and would like to subscribe to whatever magazines out there cover a lot of tech how tos and general information for shooting sports and action. All my subjects are moving from low to high speed in various light settings, from very shady to bright sun. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site, Chris! What kinds of action sports do you shoot?

Honestly, I don't know of any. I shoot skiing and mountain biking and aside from an occasional short piece in a magazine, I don't think any magazines cater to sports photographers. If you're looking for tips and action photo techniques, the Web is your best resource. There are actually a few mountain bike and action photogs here. I think we can probably offer you a lot of good advice.

Note that I've moved your post the Sports Photography Forum. I think it's a better fit

I appreciate the help. I shoot UTVs and SxSs...for more info on what they are, here's our magazine: http://www.utvoffroadmag.com

The main problem I've had is getting the vehicles to focus in shady areas...that's been very challenging.

Re: Best Magazine for Action Photography...

I read articles relating to wildlife photography on how to capture the action, articles on landscape on how to capture the surroundings and Powder magazine to just stare at some amazing action/scenic shots.

Its tough because there aren't any magazines dedicated to sports photography technique., especially action photography, at all.

Then again I think most photo magazines have way more to do with the nouns involved in photography (equipment reviews) and less with the verbs, which is a shame.

The sports and wildlife sections of this site may be your best bet to pick up some tips.
Please ask before editing my photos, I'll say yes

I like to take the pictures...

    Chris-
Start a new thread with some sample photos and some of the specific problems you've encountered. I shoot mountain biking in all kinds of conditions and I'm sure I can give you some useful tips
