    Being swollowed up by a wave

    Visiting Dana Point California snapped this kid being eaten by a wave.

    Why did you crop them smaller as he disappeared?

    It works, but what gave you the idea?
    The tighter crops give me the sense of being swollowed up, an ever decreasing space. Like a jaw closing. Does it annoy or does it give that feeling?

    I think the tighter crops work for your purpose
