BB or Football...? One rough game

Well I have shot 2 games so far this week, but after ordering a nice new Epson Stylus Photo R1800 and hooking it up just to find out something was wrong with it UGH :mad2:
I am unable to do any printing, but I did take time tonight to look at some of the pics, and found myself thinking....good mery boys...was this football or basketball....it was one rough game with a lot of being on the floor....

I am posting a few pics....as usual, I love feedback...so bring it on...

I am working hard with adjustments to make improvements.

    Thanks to all

I didn't realize gyms were so dark. I see you shot wide open at f 1.8 and ISO of 800, but still only a maximum of 1/200 second. I'm not sure how well your camera handles ISO 1600, but I'd give that a shot next time. This will double your shutter speed, which should provide sharper shots. Although, it appears you timed the last 2 pretty good.

    Thanks Mike,
The only reason I didn't go up was because they seem grainier when I do...and the first ones everyone was going down on the floor so much, I was having trouble staying focused on them...LOL....

But I appreciate the input...I will change that up some Friday for the next game. If I remember this gym we are playing in, is darker than the last two...not good...LOL

Betty, what software program do you use for post processing? Most programs have some way of smoothing out the grain in the image. Personally, I would rather see a little grain rather than a blurry photo.

I've heard noise ninja is pretty good. I just have Elements and use the noise filter/despeckle. That works for me. Good luck.
