Great shots, I like the second one. Great action shot...

How are the games in person? I have seen a few on TV but never live. I just might have to get out and check out a game or two.

The game is very fast and can be difficult to shoot from the floor level as you have so many big men running around such a small field. Lighting in these arenas is also pretty poor and makes getting stop action images pretty tough when shooting at 1/250 or 1/320. The games are also a bit dangerous. A common play is to have a receiver run a fade by heading into the corner. The QB throws it high and the wideout tries to outjump the DB for the ball. Unfortunately, sometimes the DB is late and hits the receiver at the peak of his jump and they both go over the boards. Unfortunately for me, I was at the boards shooting at this game when two of them came over and hit me. One landed on me tearing my jeans and ripping my knee open. It was rather embarrassing going into the locker room at half to have the trainer cleanout my knee. The players got a kick out of the team photographer getting hurt and getting treatment. Knee still hurts. Ouch.

Nice action again Chris. As you point out you are very close to the action in arena ball and you know first hand that that can lead to player/photog contact at times. Just ask JETA about it. I took a nasty hit a couple of years ago on the sidelines as well but both body and cameras survived.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Wow that sucks....

I took a look at your site links, great pictures..

I have been to the Sears Centre a few times for concerts but I might try to make it to a game this year. With three more home games, including this weekend, I am going to try to make one.

The Sears Centre is very well lit as it's a new arena. You'll need to get a media pass specifically for the Slaughter game as they require them when you enter the back entrance of the arena.

This Milwaukee game had one of the smallest crowds I've ever seen in arena football. I hope they can continiue to keep a team up there.
