    Another JV Loss UGH

    Well....what else can I say....poor kids...:cryin:

But on the good side...this gym was so much fun to shoot in....brighter than I thought it was going to be....I only got hit by the ball 3 times....:blush2: The Ref's were laughing at me, ( they were ref's that I had been around several times this year) and asked me if I was black and blue yet? I told them, no...I have good reflexes....kept the camera safe...LOL

I'm really impressed by how far your shots have come in the length of less than a season! Very nice, and good action. A couple of friends of mine just got 40Ds and I was showing them some of your shots since they have kids playing and wanted the camera to shoot them.

Thank you so much....it is funny, during the game last night I didn't get hardly any shots after half time, for people coming up to me(people I didn't know from the other school) asking me, how to set their camera's up to get the good shots....I am thinking to myself...you don't know..I am the wrong one to ask..LOL...but I shared what I could to help them...one lady, the only problem she had was her lens...to slow....

Just feels strange to have people approach you...when you know you are a newbie yourself...

Get used to it. I constantly have photographers from other papers (and a couple from the ones I shoot for) asking questions. The biggest issue most of them have is that they insist on using Program, Aperture Priority, or Shutter Priority. Auto modes will NEVER get the results consistently like Manual. But, I make a pretty decent side income from the ability to make shots that others can't.

I always have parents asking me how to do things.... I tell them 1: get an f2.8 70-200 lens and 2: go to photographyreview.com some do, some don't, some who don't just buy my photos

Nice shots, BFiredUp!! Are any of the players your son?

I have parents keep asking if don't I already have enough pictures? lol

Then I have an unfriendly photographer from a studio who looks at my little camera and no flash with disdain and who likes to come stand right in front of me when I'm sitting on the floor even though I do my best to stay out of her way and give her lots of room.

If you guys saw my slideshow from last year you would see what a huge difference coming here has made for me! Well that and the faster lens - which I learned I needed from here!

Yes, the last 2 shots are of Eric, my son....he is the leader and captain of the team...
He is small in frame, but makes up for it with determination, and drive....

Thanks BFiredUp! He looks like quite the player! Some of the small players are the most lethal! He's very handsome too!
