Of the shots posted the 4th shot seems to be the sharpest. With anything you shoot the more you shoot it the better you get, Good first go at soccer.

    Re: 1st time shooting Soccer

I'm interested in what camera you're using, and how you've got it set - it seems that it's chosen to focus on the ball in each shot, and I think you could change the autofocus point and put it on their faces if you want player shots.

Second shot you've controlled the shadows better.
Can you set the exposure to manual, and use the histogram in the camera?
I think that may give you better, and more repeatable, results.

Something's different between the 4th and 5th, is it more of a crop, or did you process it differently, was there less light?

It's a shame your software has stripped out the EXIF data - there's useful information in there to help you when looking at what works and what doesn't.

Sorry thought the EXIF data was there did not know lightroom stripped it.
I am shooting with a 50d, manual, center point focus, trying to get the body
    as the focus point.
4th and 5th shot were cropped and are softer because of noise and lightroom, also
less light those were in the evening. You should see some I took a few days ago at night with ISO 3200
