    1000km LMES

Not so mucha wet race, more of a swim.

You know when the water goes over the top of the safety car you're in trouble.
People were going off on the straight, under safety car, aquaplaning.
Even with 'monsoon' tyres they were in trouble.

The pros in the grandstand next to us were well prepared (#3) bt like a lot of fans who climbed the gate into a covered grandstand, I was working from the dry

We congratulated Allan McNish after the race, he said it was the hardest he's ever driven.

I can't believe that they ran in those conditions. NASCAR shuts down if it sprinkles. Nice shots as usual. You and your wife seem to have a good relationship with the sport and people involved in it. Thanks for continuing to post.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Thank you !
We thoroughly enjoy ourselves, I take the photos and my wife hunts the drivers

I've seen the truck with the jet engine on, going round to clean and dry the track.
I know it's because they race on 1mile ovals, rather than a track with any runoff, and it's more than usually dangerous with that wall waiting to suck you in and chew you up.
But it does seem OTT, they could just put on wets and race slower.

Paul I don't think there is a NASCAR driver alive that could even understand the concept of race slower. It would be billion dollar junk yard in 2 laps.

It's obvious that we are getting winners from you. I wish I always took my own advice. Sometimes I see more in my own images than are really there.
