1 of California's Scariest DH mountain bike Trails!

Went and shot a few with Leland this AM. Got to walk the steep trail and shoot. He smacked his hand near the end so we didn't get to shoot any images from the bottom section. These are fast edits and on a junk computer so will have better versions on Tuesday!

I don't visit the sports forum much but the scary part got me.
I think these are very good shots...so sharp and clear.
I have to wonder what's under him in 3 and 6.
    Keep Shooting!

Good stuff, Ian! I haven't been doing much real DH shooting or riding and these made me want to do both! This is one of the SLO trails, I take it?I'm wondering if that blurred line in the background of the second image is 101. I know there's a burly trail across the canyon from the pass above San Luis. Always wanted to check it out, even though I know I'd walk a bunch of it

John yeah image 1 and 2 are of the same spot! And yes it's that trail.

    Sweeeeeet!

I haven't seen that for a long time. I know Richard. He is seriously badass. Haven't seen him since he quit racing, though. Smart. No money in mountain bikes...

Yeah he is also very cool. He had to wait for me a bit on Tunnel and any other trail I rode with him! He was at the last BMR race on that trail and should be at the 2 on that same trail that are going to happen this next year! Still fast for not riding in a year. He broke Weirs record's on NOR CAL trails I bet that made mark a little annoyed.

That is ridiculous. Do people fall often? Because it looks pretty sketchy... I at least could never muster up the courage to charge that. haha

Yeah people do fall often on it. But 1 good thing is that it is very tight, twisty and loose so speeds are kept down. Injuries do happen on it but there are many expert and above riders that do not ride it just because of some of it's more intense lines.
