    Spam, spam, spam & spam

    Smells like spam-

    http://forums.photographyreview.com/...323#post307323

Am I missing something? Most of the other "review" sites have a "report this post" icon right at the message. I just don't see it on Photography Review.

It is a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

Thanks for the information, I'm on dial-up, and was background downloading. Though the message was on the screen for a couple of minutes, the red triangle didn't load. I think Firefox just gave up and didn't put a 'place holder' there. Since I'm over at RBR and MTBR more often, maybe it's cached the image for those.

Actually folks, I think it's time to turn off your Javascript. It looks like the site's been hacked. Here's another spam post, by a member with over 4 BILLION POSTS-

    http://forums.photographyreview.com/...401#post307401

When MTBR got hacked the hacker was using JS to load 'drive-by' malware.

I'm not sure it's accurate to say we've been hacked. And I'm sure that user hasn't posted that many times :-)

But something is up if he was able to change his post number. And I'm not sure. But I hope that after mtbr got hacked a change was made to make that kind of hack impossible. I know it was a big deal and we took it very seriously. You can bet I'll be looking into this tomorrow. In the meantime, that user has been banned and I'm keeping an eye on all suspicious activity.

Checked with the developers and we have not been hacked. The crazy post count is a forum software bug. It happens when two moderators try to delete the same post at the same time and it always results in a post count in the billions. Weird. But the important thing is - no hack!
