    Question on EXIF data

A matter of days ago I was able to right click on a picture that had been posted and a menu would come up that let me look at the EXIF data if it was not removed before posting. This option no longer comes up. Is this something that has been changed in my computer or a change in the site? If it is my computer can you tell me how to change it back? Thanks for any help, Jeff

I've never been able to do that in a web page without installing software.
So I don't think it is the site.
What have you changed on your computer recently?
Did you allow Microsoft Update to install IE8 for example?

    Oh I suppose I shouldn't ass-u-me Microsoft, you might have a Mac.
    So back to basics.
What have you changed on your computer since you last right-clicked and viewed the EXIF?
What computer is it, Mac or PC?
Which web browser are you using?
Did you install anything before, so you could view the EXIF?
Did you allow anything to install updates since the EXIF view worked?
Could anyone else have installed stuff on your computer?

    Re: Question on EXIF data

PAul, the only thing that has changed is my trial version of Lightroom expired and I suspect that is the reason I don't have that option anymore. I looked and this is the only thing I find that is different. Thanks for your reply, Jeff

    Re: Question on EXIF data

If you're talking about clicking in a web browser while looking at this site, then Lightroom doesn't provide that.

    Re: Question on EXIF data

If you are running Windows and have automatic updates enabled then you might have went to IE8 unknowingly. If you had a plugin installed for IE7 chances are it either didn't transfer over to IE8 or is was not compatible with IE8. I quit using IE and went to Firefox. Much better and faster. If you are on a MAC then I have no idea.

    Re: Question on EXIF data

I'm running Windows XP and Internet Explorer (IE) v8.

    Download Opanda IEXIF

    http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/download.htm

When you install it, I think there is a question as to whether you want the IE 'right' click' feature installed also.

Right click the photo when using IE and EXIF will be an option at the bottom along with Properties. If the EXIF is there, it will list it in a pop up type window.

Thanks PAul, that fixed it!!!!! I like to look at this data on pictures sometimes to help me learn what time of day the picture was taken and what the camera settings were. Thanks again, Jeff
