Max size for files to post?

I know this has to be posted somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it. What is the max size I should post of a jpg file? I've tried to post a couple of photos and get the message that the file "failed to post". The only thing I can think of is my file size exceeds the maximum size allowed. I'll write this down somewhere so I don't bother you guys anymore. Thanks!

When you click on the "upload Photos" button you get a pop-up that says the max file size is 293.0 KB. Max width 800px Max height 800px.

pafindr is correct about the upload limits. If you want to upload larger images you can do so on the gallery. The gallery has a 5 MB file size limit and no dimension limit. If I want to share something larger I upload it here on the forums first and then use the "edit" option on the gallery to replace the smaller original with my large file. The original I uploaded on the forums will remain in my forum post but if you go to the gallery you'll be able to view the larger version.
