    Print size?

Ok, I really got it bad for the D90. I think Ive had the D50 long enough so now I need to find the right price. Can anyone share how big a print they have managed with the D90 and the quality of it?

    Re: Print size?

I have made and sold several 20x30 inch framed prints and have also sold 20x30 canvas prints using the Nikon D90 that were very sharp and detailed with outstanding colors, Jeff

    Re: Print size?

The size of the print is determined mainly by how sharp the image is in focus. Once the print size gets poster size you have to remember the viewing distance becomes a factor. I have a few great photos which were taken with a 3 mega pixel camera which have been printed at 100-150 DPI and look very good (one is a image size 5 x 18 inches tall). The will not stand the loupe but for normal viewing. For a poster sized print you need a print from a 4 by 5 or larger film negative for the print to stand to the loupe treatment.
