Very interesting - I like it. Maybe a little tight on the left side. - Terry

Welcome! I hope you find this place as helpful as I do. A very friendly place and they have brought me a long way (with a much longer way to go). Here is one of my first posts and the reply that woke me up.

    Have to start someplace, 2...

    Re: Fly on my Flyer

Thanks for sharing. I got my first replies yesterday ..."what's the subject?" - I hate that question. Either way, I do want to get better, and unless I am willing to get some thicker skin, I don't see it happening - so I am glad I am here.

Llew - haha, I was one of those asking you 'whats the subject' :P Sorry.

Anyway - I really like this shot! Its a cool perspective and it took me a second to figure out what it actually was. I would boost the contrast a bit and maybe add some vignetting for effect. I don't much care for the square crop, I'd prefer a 3:4 or 2:3 aspect ratio.

    Re: Fly on my Flyer

Anbesol - you were right about the subject, though. I just like the experience of being there ...and it is a connection I have with a picture, but others may not. I woke up this morning thinking that if one sits by their photo for 2 hours thinking of how to crop it - one may not have a subject! That was the case with that one .... :-)

    Re: Fly on my Flyer

I ask myself "What's going on here?", which I think is a good thing. The shot is leaning slightly on the dark side (not the Star Wars type), maybe 1/3rd of a stop or even more. I would crop a little off the top,
