Re: Few from the back yard...

My first attempt at using CS4 (from Element 6) and I see that the EXIF was stripped when I saved as JPG. The Save As command doesn't give a JPG option, so I use the Save for Web with metadata set to All. How do I save JPGs with EXIF intact? - TF

Re: Few from the back yard...

Eric - Thanks.

AgingEyes - Thanks. 1/20 sec @ f/4 incase you want to try yourself

As for my EXIF problem, I figured it out. I just needed to convert the file to 8-bit and then JPG is an option in Save As.

Re: Few from the back yard...

what lense/tube? did you shoot that bee with? is it a crop at all?

im trying to imagine how much closer/ larger the subject will be if i use some tubes on my 70-200 as opposed to my 60mm macro.

Sorry about the stripped EXIF. The lens was a 100mm and I don't think I used any tubes. It is a good sized bee. Here is the uncropped version. - TF

Re: Few from the back yard...

Here is a quarter with a 200mm at minimum focus distances with 0, 20, 36 and 68mm tubes. APS-C Sony. Lens= 1.5m min focus distance. Just to give you size so they're blurry. TF

Wow!

I particularly like the Bee and Dragonfly!

The second from the top is also nice - in an artistic miss / blur kind or way
