I'd like your opinion on this portrait...

I shot this today with a D70 and Nikon 35mm 2.0 lens set on aperture ISO 1600 aperture priority, and f/ 2.0 with the shutter speed around 1/125 spot metered on my son's face. I wanted a blurred background, so I put him in front of a bright window with white blinds and opened the aperture wide open.

It's cropped slightly. What do you think?

I really like the exposure. Handsome boy, but I'm having an issue with his thumb in my eye, sorry, but it draws me away from his face. Too distracting for me. Otherwise I like it alot.

I agree, the arms bother me. Even though I see both, I get a weird sensation that he's armless. His thumb hand is not visibly attached to his body and the focus is so drastically different from his body that even though I *know* it's his hand, it still gives me a weird, disembodied sensation.

His eyes are perfectly in focus, and I like the light very much.
