To continue my developmet of capturing flow. (MTB)

In my last post here I told you all that I am trying to develop a new style so that I can capture the essence of MTing here in New England. One major aspect of the riding is "Flow". For the non-riders this Marketing exploted phrase is the linking of mutilple techical moves or tests of rider skill that together add up to some thing eligant and more spectacular than any of the single moves.

So here is a series of images I took of a friend as he played on some leftovers at a rock quary. if you look carefully, you'll see that the big rock is smaller than his bike length in more than one dimension. I was more than a little nervous watching him do this.

As for the photography, thanks to the inherent limitation of my 10D I had a few frames with bad focus. but I'm more intrested in your opinion of the presentation of the images. My PS skills are a little lacking but am willing to improve. if you have any hints, I'd like to hear them.

the problem that you run into with this kind of piece together is that nothing matches up. What you should try and do is match different pieces up. maybe eliminate every other one. it gives some sort of reference. Also, shoot in manual, so that the camera will not adjust the settings halfway through like in the second to last shot. If you get rid of the white outlines it may help too...

I have been trying to do the same. Working with each stunt and taking out a couple frames as mentioned earlier. I really enjoy, like you said earlier, "capturing the flow"
    Good luck
