Reflection Of The Dammed

I was going thru some pics from this spring, and this one caught my eye. I didn't pay any attention to this image, when I first saw it a few months ago, but last night, it made me stop and take a second look. This is the Glen Canyon Dam, just outside of Page AZ, shot thru the window of the visitor center.

The framing on the shot was very good with the lines going down towards the bottom. I am just not a fan of reflection shots. I also think it looks little dark on my monitor.

That thing looks huge how far do you think that fall would be.

All the way to the bottom!! The dam is 710 feet tall.

Thanks for the comments. I really don't have much of an opinion on this shot, just something that caught my eye the other night.

One thing I did find interesting tho, was that in this day and age of paranoia over national security, I was able to openly photograph this potential terrorist target from within the visitor center, but my girlfriend was not allowed to bring her cup of coffee into the building.

You can't take pictures from inside the dam, but take all you want from the outside.

Actually, I like the perspective you got here but I am not found of the reflexion in the windows (which is the thing that draws your interest as I understand it). I believe that the reflection would need to be stronger to make this thing works but then that's just my take on it.

Funny title, I was expecting something much more gothic than a real dam. I am a fan of reflection shots usually but I feel like this image goes in opposite directions. I can't decide whether to look back (into the reflection) or down (into the river). I also have a little problem with heights and maybe that's what is distracting me the most. What I really like is the image of the mesa/plateau in the far background. Thanks for the persepctive, dizzying.
