    cropping photos

This is aimed at wedding photographers but could be for anyone who offers a cd/dvd for the customer to print their own photos. Being that you don't know exactly what size photo a couple would want, what size do you crop your photos too?? Or do you crop them to what looks best to you?

    Re: cropping photos

I'm not a wedding photographer, but if you think they may print from the photos, I have found in general that providing custom crops (or prints) drives other people crazy because then they have to order and buy custom mats and frames, which can be expensive

The question also arises as to whether odd-ratio crops make a different with images for the internet?

    Re: cropping photos

Not a wedding photog, but I do portraits and tons of action. Everything is cropped to 4x6 with wiggle room. So far so good with people ordering and printing other sizes.

The only ones I will do custom crops for are group photos with text. Those are usually 5x7 and 8x10's.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
