    Exceptional Slowness occuring!

Just in case anyone else if having a hard time getting the forum, I have observed longer and longer delays retrieving pages from this forum.

Notably, June Photo Project: Plantlife took just over two minutes before it loaded.

    Sorry.
I know the connection is being made as the header banner shows up right away, along with that dreadfully infuriating banner add for HP. Nothing against HP, but to sit watching an animated high bandwidth advert when I wanted to look at the images andposts, ticks me off.

This site is getting so slow it is almost not useable. Waiting minutes for threads to open is not acceptable. Other forums, for comparison, open in a snap and even though the content is no where as good as this forums, at least it gets delivered on demand, instead of thrusting a advert while forever tries to load.

    Frustrated, not alf.

Kaela, I had problems yesterday as well. I could visit PR but could not log on. Tried two different computers and all I got was a blank screen. Could have been the same symptom but I didn't have the patience to wait that long so I aborted each attempt.

Things got better in the afternoon (around 3pm US Eastern time) but now I keep getting booted off. Like someone's trying to tell me something

Must be server issues. Hope it works itself out before too many people get frustrated.

    Re: Exceptional Slowness occuring!

I have a hard time at home browsing PR in general lately. There just seems to be too much loading in general. I have slow speed satellite internet at home (300k down, 80k up if I'm lucky-which most of the time I'm not). Might be why I haven't posted lately.
Right now I'm at a relatives home with a fiberoptic internet connection (15 Mb up and down), and just going gaga over how fast their internet is. Some days are better on PR, but most days I get so frustrated with all the loading timeout errors I get that I just haven't bothered to browse or post on PR.
