3 from today... no tripod which shows mostly in first.
Was with a group searching for rare washington wild orchids and did not want to hold people up to set up and fuss about. Could have spent many hours shooting and hope to go back soon.

fern growth.
so hard to choose since I shoot a lot of greenery, but I'll try to select a couple where green is the star of the show, not just a walk on.
Here's one from my Lily of the Valley life cycle project, I call it Stagefright
And one from last year - this pump really works and there's a bucket for thirsty dogs or hikers.
This is Smart's Brook and the water is green when it freezes. Under the surface you can see ice formations around boulders in the stream bed. Out of a dozen photos, this is the only one that showed the color properly. My friend couldn't get it to show at all in his images. Bummer since it's so cool. The nearby Mad River is the same way and none of those shots came out, that's why I'm inordinately proud of this one -
anyway...I'll stop now, otherwise I could practically post every photo I've ever taken!

Ok, I'm REALLY reaching here, but the idea that I had with this picture is to pick out the several shades of green from amongst all the other colors.
Since Frog said that the human eye sees more shades of green than any other color, challenge yourself to see how many shades you can find! I found 7 distinct shades.
Frog, feel free to delete this if I am way off the point of this project, I won't mind!
