    Re: January 2010 project......STAIRS

here is my super cool idea that was completely and totally poorly executed. I don't think a point and shoot can get this shot but darn it I tried---12 times. lol :mad2:

That is the reflection of the Malmö City Library and the stairs are inside the window I am attempting to shoot through. It looked awesome IRL but I think the curve of the window had something to do with the result as I refuse to take all the blame.

also no tripod and slight hand shake trying to underexpose it.
    *shrugs*
I will try again at a later date.

Oh wow, cool. I am glad someone else sees it. I am going to go back with the new camera after I get it and try it again. If I can't get it then I will ask for some help.

Maybe with a polarizing filter to bring out more of the stair and less reflection? - TF

Well, it was taken with a point and shoot After I get the new camera I will try it again. I have been researching lenses and filters and figured that was the answer. Making a mental note to come back to that window.

    Thanks for the advice.

If you know someone that has a circular polarizer, borrow it and just hold it in front of your lens. - TF

Some people actually hold their polarized sunglasses in front of the lens. I did it once and it worked ok but I wasn't that much concerned with the quality as it was an experiment and it did work.
