    Re: photoshop help?

I moved this to digital imaging - that's where the experts are!

Looks like a tough one, beyond my PS skills too. What do you think about cutting him out of the background and just replacing it with something else? That wouldn't solve all of the problems because the light leak (is that what it is?) is also along the bottom of the shot.

Oh, I should have mentioned that...all I need is him...no need for any of the background. I was going to cut him out and use it for some graphic design

    A quick fix...

Just took a lunch break to play with it. I think it looks ok. Could probably do a better job if I spent the weekend on it...

Skin tones are a little different because of the color adjustments I made. I guess that's a subjective thing. Also, left the color cast on the fringe as you said the bg wasn't important, but that would be easy enough to clean up..

BTW, I can send you a much larger higher res tiff file of you want...

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. What all did you do to it?

    Re: A quick fix...

I basically converted the jpeg to a psd file, created copy layers from the original, then segmented the guys face, adjusting the colors of parts of it seperately (also the microphone seperately), then masked each layer so only a small part showed through and made sure it was all blended. Then I flattened the file and made another jpeg.

Below is the ps layers palette as it looked right before I flattened the file...
