    Need recommendation

    Hi all
I am a real novice...I have a JVC hard disk camcorder. I need a recommendation on a "software for dummies" that will allow me to easily import my videos from my camera to my software so I can burn as a dvd..anyone have a recommendation?
    thanks

I don't know if there are any significant interface differences between a Hard Disk and a MiniDV camcorder, but the Windows Movie Maker can do what you describe. It is not the most powerful, but it is simple, and (generally) comes with Windows for free. I have also used Pinnacle, but Movie Maker seemed to be easier for the initial download. Pinnacle has more and powerful editing features, but for basic cutting, splicing, and burning to DVD both seem to be about as good--or bad.

    thanks rocket scientist...
this camera is a 20GB hard drive. I am going to FIJI for 10 days & trying to think of everything I may need to have with me. I have no idea if this 20GB will hold the whole vacation experience or not. It also has a slot for a memory card. I assume the extra memory cards I carry with me will hold the extra video I might take if I run out of HD memory. I also plan to take battery charger. I am considering taking one extra larger battery.
